2025 Christmas Cookie Box

So every year during the holidays, I get together with a group of friends to make a variety of cookies as gifts. It's something I started in high school as a way to give all my friends presents without breaking the bank. And it has since grown into a massive annual production. What started as one cookie has now expanded into 10+ cookies, with us adding or trying a new recipe each year. This year's experimental cookies were the butter wreath cookies (which were so much work to pipe) and the matcha white chocolate chip cookie (which turned out to be a fan favourite).

This year in particular, I actually wanted to see what everyone's favourite cookie was. For one, I wanted to know what I should keep making next year. And two, I love me some numbers and statistics (if you can really call this statistics). So here are the results for the 2025 Christmas Cookie Box (20 friends completed the survey).

The top 3 cookies were the Orange Pecan Crescent, Matcha White Chocolate Chip Cookie, and Earl Grey Shortbread based on the survey question: What were your top 3 favourite cookies?. I'm not surprised about the Orange Pecan Crescent Cookies, which are my favourite, and the Earl Grey Shortbreads have always been a fan favourite. I am surprised about the Matcha White Chocolate Chip Cookie, which was a new addition. We did do a Matcha Shortbread in the past, but we thought this matcha variation with chocolate chip was a nice addition. Guess we have to keep this one!

And not that people really care, but for those who do, I also got individual rankings for each cookie. I'll get nicer photos next year for each cookie.
